Inagro operates a small-scale anaerobic digestion plant for research and demonstration purposes. The facility has a total volume of 200 m³ and is equipped with a combined heat and power (CHP) unit with an electrical output of 31 kW. It can generate up to 125 MWh of electricity and 185 MWh of heat annually, all of which is fully utilised on site.

The modular plug-and-play test platform is equipped with biogas upgrading facilities, including desulphurisation, drying, and compression. This enables the supply of clean and dry biogas at pressures of up to 12 bar to your pilot installation for biogas valorisation and upgrading technologies.

In addition, Inagro has the capacity to test and evaluate biomass pre-treatment technologies as well as digestate post-treatment systems.

Furthermore, Inagro operates a pilot-scale anaerobic digester with a working volume of 1,000 litres. Designed specifically for research applications, this installation is equipped for hydrogen injection. By applying a power-to-gas approach, carbon dioxide in the biogas can be converted into methane, increasing the methane content and enhancing the overall energy density of the biogas.
